TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo will reportedly hold a limited virtual meeting as a response to Governor Anies Baswedan’s decision to re-implement the large scale social restriction (PSBB) in the capital city.
“We'll hold a video conference if the meeting involves more than five state-ministries. But it would be offline if there are only up to four people present,” said Head of the presidential secretariat’s office Heru Budi Hartono on Thursday, Sept. 10.
According to Heru, only 20 percent of state-institution members are able to be present in the meeting.
Last night, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan announced to reimpose Covid-19 restriction starting on September 14, 2020, which effectively limits people’s mobility in a bid to break the chain of coronavirus infection that has loomed the city the past several weeks.
However, the governor has yet to elaborate on the details of the activities that are restricted under the PSBB rules.
