New Year; 55,000 Vehicles Expected to Leave Jakarta Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State toll road operator Jasa Marga predicted that today is the peak of the exodus flow of New Year 2020.
Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head, Dwimawan Heru, expected the number of vehicles that pass Cikampek Utama toll gate to the Trans Java Toll would reach 55,511 vehicles.
"This number increased by 65.47 percent from regular daily traffic," Dwimawan Heru said in a written statement on Saturday, December 28, explaining that it was obtained from yesterday's record.
On Friday, December 27, as many as 51,920 vehicles left the capital city Jakarta through Cikampek Utama toll gate. "The number increased 54 percent from normal daily traffic of 33,710 vehicles," he said.
Jasa Marga recorded that yesterday, the highest traffic volume occurred at 09:30 until 10:29 with 2,863 vehicles entering the Cikampek Utama toll gate heading to the Trans Java toll.
Dwimawan called on the road users to drive safely and make sure that the condition of the vehicle is ready before going on a trip. People can also access Jasa Marga's official website to watch the traffic condition at toll roads during New Year's holiday period.
