The 12 Figures Slated for President Jokowi's Cabinet Members

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A number of known figures from the economic sector up to political party leaders took turns arriving at President Jokowi’s State Palace on Monday, October 21, with most of them being invited as candidates for the president’s state ministers.
The president’s initial promise on Sunday’s presidential inauguration was to introduce the members of his second-term Cabinet on Monday. However, the latest information suggests that the official announcement has been delayed to Wednesday, October 23.
The following are the people who were invited to the State Palace on Monday, with most of them deemed as future State Ministers.
- Mohammad Mahfud MD (Former Constitutional Court Chief Justice)
- Tetty Paruntu (South Minahasa Regent and Golkar Party member)
- Nadiem Makarim (Founder of Indonesia’s ride-hailing app GoJek)
- Wishnutama (NET Mediatama Televisi president commissioner)
- Erick Thohir (president Commissioner of Mahaka Media Group and former chairman of Jokowi’s presidential campaign team)
- National Police Chief General Tito Karnavian
- Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto (Former ministry of industry)

- Fadjroel Rachman (Former university student activist of class 1978)
- Nico Harjanto (Former expert staff of the Secretary of State)
- Prabowo Subianto (Chairman of opposition party Gerindra Party and former political rival for Jokowi in the 2014 and 2019 presidential election race)
- Edhy Prabowo (Gerindra Party Deputy Chairman, former Pencak Silat athlete, and current House of Representatives (DPR) Commission IV Head)
