Indonesia Great Sale Targets Rp35tn Transaction

6 August 2019 21:48 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the Indonesian Retailers Association (Aprindo) Roy N. Mandey expects the Indonesia Great Sale to generate transactions up to Rp35 trillion. The rough calculation takes the average annual income of Indonesians of Rp56 million or Rp4.6 million monthly.

“This means that if they spend [at a minimum] of Rp200,000, it’s okay. The attendance average of malls is 30,000 to 50,000 people in a day. Major malls such as Kota Kasablanka can see up to 80,000-100,000 visits each day,” said Roy at the Gandaria City mall today, August 6.

The event is presented by both the Aprindo together with APPBI (The Indonesian Shopping Center Association) that will offer discounts up to 74 percent across a variety of items.

APPBI President A. Stefanus Ridwan S. says that the event is to commemorate the 74th Indonesian Independence Day that will commence simultaneously on August 14-25 in 321 malls spread across Indonesia.
