TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The presidential spokesman Johan Budi Sapta Pribowo said a reshuffle at Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's working cabinet would possibly take place after Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran) holiday, asserting that there would be no reshuffle during Ramadan.
"No confirmation on that matter (reshuffle) until lebaran. It may take place sometime after lebaran," Johan Budi told Tempo, Wednesday, May 8.
According to the presidential spokesman, the president would only plan a reshuffle based on two reasons; the minister's performance, or legal cases entangling them until suspect naming.
During his governance, Widodo has reshuffled his cabinet three times. The latest was in August 2018, when the president inaugurated Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita as Social Affairs Minister, replacing Idrus Marham who was named as a suspect at Riau power plant case, or PLTU Riau.
Joko Widodo's governance would end in five months, however, the reshuffle is possible to take place, said Johan. The cabinet reshuffle will still be based on the performance and legal status of related ministers.
