Jokowi Wants Ministries to Push Capex

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo held a cabinet meeting to discuss the budget and indicative ceiling for the 2020 State Budget. The meeting was held at the Bogor Palace yesterday, and will continue today, April 23.
During the meeting, Widodo asked his ministers to increase their capital expenditures (capex).
"I would like to continue with our discussion yesterday about budget availability and indicative ceiling," the president said when opening the meeting on Tuesday.

Jokowi`s main concern is to strengthen capital expenditure. He asked all ministries to push for budget spending and absorption to actuate the target.
The president reminded that ministries' main focus in 2020 is human resources. He said that policies on increasing workers' quality would be discussed more specifically I future meetings.
The former mayor of Solo asked for the policies to be ready by next year.
