Bogor District's Wedding Reception-Inspired Polling Station

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A unique sight was seen at a polling station (TPS) 11 located at Sukahati sub-district, Bogor. The TPS that is located close to the region’s regent was set in a lavish decoration mimicking a wedding reception often seen in Indonesian culture.

The polling station was dressed in majority white cloth as its walls and also had a pair of chairs, in a wedding ceremony is used for the bride and groom. The entrance door into the polling station had a large heart-shaped frame installed.

This specific polling station has 207 voters listed in the region’s final voters list (DPT) and is where the Bogor Regent Ade Yasin is set to cast his vote in the 2019 general elections.

Head of the TPS 11 committee members (KPPS) Abdul Halim said that the station’s design and thematic was a product of resident’s initiative meant to further attract voters participation and was funded by local residents.
