PKS: Letter on Deputy Governor Candidate Awaits Prabowo Signing

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Prosperous Justice Party central board (DPP PKS) has signed a determination letter of two candidates of Jakarta deputy governor. The PKS official Zakaria Maulana Arif said that the party is now waiting for the signing of Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto and secretary general Ahmad Muzani.
“I have not yet received further information,” Zakaria told Tempo, Wednesday, February 27.
Up to Tuesday afternoon, Zakaria said that his party was still waiting for good news in light of the letter signing from the coalition party.

“Hopefully today will bring good news,” he said on Tuesday, adding that PKS's administrative task on the matter had been fulfilled.
According to Zakaria, PKS had sent the letter to Gerindra after PKS Jakarta and Gerindra Jakarta ratified a determination letter on the city deputy governor candidates on Friday, February 22. The letter notes two candidates, namely PKS Jakarta regional secretary Agung Yulianto and former Bekasi Mayor Ahmad Syaikhu.
After the ratification by PKS and Gerindra, the letter will be submitted to Jakarta Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) to determine Jakarta Deputy Governor in a plenary meeting.
