Anies Baswedan Rotates Jakarta Officials; 18 Positions at Auction

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan rotated 1,125 officials in the city administration. There are now 18 empty positions to be filled, consist of 16 positions for echelon II and 2 positions for echelon I.
“Yes, up to the inauguration yesterday, the positions are still empty,” said Jakarta Regional Employment Agencies (BKD) head Chaidir on Tuesday, February 26.

Chaidir mentioned that the 18 positions are temporarily filled by acting officials until definitive leaders elected after the auction.
The 16 positions for echelon II are:
- Head of Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD),
- Head of SOE Development Agency,
- Head of Jakarta National and Political Unity Office (Kesbangpol),
- Head of Fire and Rescue Agency,
- Head of Water Resources Agency,
- Head of Cipta Karya, Planning, and Land Agency,
- Head of Environment Agency,
- Head of Industry and Energy Agency,
- Head of Transportation Agency,
- Head of Spatial Planning and Environmental Bureau,
- Head of Economy Bureau,
- Head of Administrative Bureau,
- President Director of RSUD Pasar Rebo (Regional Hospital),
- President Director of RSUD Cengkareng,
- Deputy Head of Taxation and Retribution Agency (BPRD),
- City Secretary of South Jakarta.
The two positions for echelon I are:
- Deputy Governor for Tourism and Culture Affairs,
- Deputy Governor for Population and Settlement Control Affairs.
According to Chaidir, the positions for echelon II are emptied after the former deputy governor for Tourism and Culture Affairs Sylviana Murni joined the 2017 gubernatorial election, while the other position was left by Syahrul Effendi due to the pension. “Both are empty thus far,” he added.
As of the report written, there is no further information on when Anies Baswedan will hold the auction for those empty positions.
