LRT Jakarta to Provide Five-Star Hotel Service

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President director of PT LRT Jakarta, Allan Tandiono, said the company would generate innovation by recruiting human resources from millennial generation and providing five-star hotel services.

“LRT is different than other operators. We view that other operators of public transportation have not yet made an innovation that we do, such as employing human resources from the hospitality sector,” said Allan in the LRT Depo of Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.

“Our service manager, who used to work in a five-star hotel, will establish training for millennial human resources to cater LRT Jakarta passengers as staffs of a five-star hotel serve its consumer,” Allan added.

To develop the ability of his staffs, Allan encouraged 20 employees of LRT Jakarta to work as interns in the city transportation Transjakarta. “We hold a comparative study, internship, and practice it. We learn the theory directly in busway stops. We learn from their experience on how to serve the public with heart,” he noted.
