TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan prioritized the construction project of Tanah Abang Skybridge could be run as planned, rather than set the target of the completion.
Anies more concerned on the regulation regarding street vendors and pedestrian, instead of scheduled the launching day of the project. “For me, those are more important rather than setting the day for the project launching,” the governor said in Mercure Hotel, Ancol, North Jakarta, Saturday, Nov 3.

The construction of the sky bridge project had passed the expected date on October 15, to October 31. However, the regional-owned company PD Sarana Jaya as the company in charge had yet announced the launching date.
PD Sarana Jaya president director Yoory C. Pinontoan said as of October 31, the project reached 90 percent completion and so he expected it would finish in early November.
Jl. Jatibaru Raya, meanwhile, was again closed due to the project construction as Tanah Abang skybridge was located right above the road. The coordinator of Tanah Abang angkot or minibus drivers, Abdul Rosyid, said the road was re-opened on October 15-16, before it was closed up to today.
