Anies Baswedan Inspects LRT Test Trial Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan inspected the Light Rail Transit (LRT Jakarta) trial test today, September 12. Since the test permit issued by the city`s Transportation Agency on September 4, it was the first time Anies boarded LRT Jakarta.
LRT Jakarta CEO Allan Tandiono said the limited operation test went smoothly. “We will schedule the evaluation and focus on further development after this first stage of limited operation test end on September 14,” he said in a press release.
A total of 22 requirement points and 10 sub-points set in the SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) for the operation trial test of LRT Jakarta.
The requirement includes the test period starting at 2-5 p.m per day and the track length was limited to 4 kilometers from Boulevard Utara Station to Velodrome Station and vice versa, as well as the road sign along the track.
Meanwhile, the maximum operation speed was set at 40 kilometers per hour with a departure schedule every 20 minutes. The operation permit was only valid for one facility in one block.
A coordinator of the National Accessibility Movement (GAUN), David Tjahjana, attended the trial test to deliver suggestions from disabled people to make LRT Jakarta a friendly transportation service for the community. “We come here today and all officers are really helpful,” said David.
