TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - At least 13 TV stations and networks reaped profits from last month's Asian Games. From August 18 to September 2, the networks—booked Rp4.98 trillion in ad revenues.


The 13 TV stations are SCTV, Indosiar, RCTI, MNC TV, ANTV, Global TV, Trans TV, Trans 7, TV One, Metro TV, Net TV, Kompas TV, and state-owned TVRI.


Two stations owned by the Surya Citra Media (SCM) group; viz. SCTV and Indosiar, held the broadcasting rights to the 2018 Asian Games 2018. They booked Rp1.29 trillion ad revenues, or 25.92 percent of the total.

The data density only calculated advertisements shown during in commercial breaks—excluding those shown during the program aired; such as tickers, bumpers, and others.


The Adstensity, monitored by Sigi Kaca Pariwara, also recorded that Bukalapak.com was the biggest advertiser in SCM, contributing an ad revenue of Rp77.11 billion.
