Jokowi Camp Undented by Gerindra-Democrat Alliance: Perindo

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - United Indonesia Party (Perindo) secretary-general Ahmad Rofiq said the newly-established Gerindra-Democrat tie, which is presently under the nation's limelight, would not undermine the Jokowi camp.
“The Jokowi coalition will remain solid. It will not be faded by the current political coalition development outside of the coalition,” said Rofiq on Monday, July 30, 2018. He added the Jokowi camp was set to mobilize its support.

Perindo’s second national meeting on March of 2018 agreed on backing President Jokowi's re-election bid. “The decision is final and binding,” he said.
Rofiq added Perindo also welcomed the Gerindra-Democrat partnership as it further cleared-up the nation's political atmosphere ahead of the 2019 Presidential Election.

Earlier, Gerindra chairman Prabowo Subianto and his Democrat's counterpart Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono agreed on forming a coalition to face next year's presidential race.
