Depok Police Deploy 588 Personnel, Jaguar Team to Secure Eid

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Depok Police are deploying 588 personnel and have set up security posts since June 7 to safeguard the city during the Eid homecoming season.


Depok Police spokesman Second Insp. I Made Budi said the police were carrying out the Ketupat Jaya Operation, which was launched by Depok City Police chief Sr. Comr. Didik Sugiarto last week.


“The Ketupat Jaya Operation lasts for 17 days, personnel are deployed until June 24 to provide comfort to the people during Eid Day,” said Made on Monday, June 11.

According to Made, five security posts are placed at the toll gates of Cijago, McD Cibubur, Margo City, Depok Terminal, and Ramayana.


The Depok Police also deployed the Jaguar and Public Order special teams to patrol the city during the homecoming season.


"The Public Order team will patrol during daylight and the Jaguar team will be on duty at night," Made said.
