TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi hopes that the tax of 2018 Asian Games ticket could be cut. He wants more people able to watch the sports event.
“My hope that the Asian Games really belongs to the citizens, so we must provide convenience, generosity, and flexibility to the presence of the community to be the supporters,” said Imam at Vice President Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 23.
Imam said the presence of the community to support the athletes is very important. They can contribute to the athlete's motivation and confidence since it is one the factors that contribute to their success.

“Usually, the presence of the supporters, the presence of the loved ones, the nearest person, lover or ex-lover will create a new spirit, new energy,” said the sports minister.
Imam said he has not studied in detail on the ideal ticket price that can attract many people. He also has not been able to answer the question following the ticket price to be sold.
Imam said the authority to determine the tax of the Asian Games' ticket is in the hands of the Jakarta Administration. The policy is regulated in the Regional Regulation No. 6 of 2010 on General Tax Provisions.
