TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A defendant of the e-KTP corruption case, Setya Novanto said the former official of Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sugiharto once handed over $350,000 of e-KTP corruption money to PDIP politician Arif Wibowo.

"For Arif, handed over by Sugiharto to his house carrying 350,000 dollars with a black bag," Setya said during testifying in the hearing with the former PT Quadra Solution Chairman Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo as the defendant at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Monday, May 21.

Sugiharto is the former Director of Information and Administration Management of the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The court has convicted him of guilt in the e-KTP corruption case.

Initially, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) prosecutor said Setya once made a chronology of the flow of funds to a number of politicians. Setya made it when he filed as a justice collaborator to the KPK.

According to the prosecutor, in the chronology, Setya explained that there is a flow of funds for some politicians, namely Olly Dondokanbey as much as US$500,000, Tamsil Linrung US$500,000, Mirwan Amir US$500,000, Melchias Mekeng US$500,000, Arif Wibowo US$250,000, Chairuman Harahap US$500,000 and Jafar Hafsah US$250,000.

However, Setya annulled his statement. Setya said the information owned by his niece, Irvanto Pambudi Cahyo. Irvanto on several occasions is often called to have a role as the e-KTP money courier for the Senayan parliamentarians.

While the information about money for Arif, Setya Novanto said to know it from Sugiharto. He said he had confirmed it to Sugiharto two weeks ago. According to him, Sugiharto confirmed.

“Yeah right I gave that to Arif,” said Setya imitating Sugiharto.

When testifying in the trial Setya Novanto on February 19, Arif Wibowo denied receiving the e-KTP money. He claimed to have just been a member of the council when the discussion of the e-KTP project is done in Senayan.

“My head hurt, I cried, I was still a new member (DPR) and I did not understand how politics is,” he said.
