TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Fify Letty Indra, a sister of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok, said she has received many calls following the Mako Brimob riot that took place on early Wednesday, May 9.

"From last night until this morning, many phone calls and WhatsApp messages came in questioning Ahok’s condition," said Fifi when contacted by Tempo on Wednesday morning.

Fify believes Ahok who was detained at the Mobil Brigade's Command Headquarters or Mako Brimob in Kelapa Dua, Depok, remains safe despite the riot.

"We have faith that Ahok is safe under His protection as Psalm 91 says," said the younger sister of Jakarta former Governor.

The Psalm 91 reads, Those who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, will abide in the shadow of the Almighty and say to the Lord, "You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
