TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) apologizes for the queue of the electric railway train (KRL) trips of Bekasi-Jakarta Kota and Bogor-Jakarta Kota/Jatinegara.
Corporate Communication VP of PT KCI, Eva Chairunisa, said that the queue is the impact of signaling disturbance at Gambir Station since 05:10 until 07.35 am. As a result, the KRL signaling is done manually.
"Upon the completion of the current improvement, the operational team continues to work on parsing the queue by resetting the operation pattern," Eva said in a written statement, Monday, 19 March.
According to her, although the signaling has returned normal since 07:35 pm, the queue still exist in some traffic, especially in Bogor and Bekasi. Eva estimated that the queue can decompose around the next 30 to 45 minutes.
"To break down the KRL density in the cross and maximize the KRL trips, some KRL destinations from Jakarta Kota, both from Bogor and Bekasi, are only up to Manggarai Station and back to the starting station," she said.
Eva appealed the KRL users who cannot wait, can use other transportations. While the users who will still want to use the KRL, are advised to stay concerned about safety and security by not pushing themselves to get inside when the KRL is full and they must wait for the next KRL trip.
