TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian national team beat Mongolia 3-2 yesterday in the Aceh World Solidarity Tsunami Cup 2017 at the Harapan Bangsa Stadium, Aceh.

Coach Luis Milla heavily rotated his squad, fielding five players who did not feature in a 4-0 win against Brunei Darussalam, including Evan Dimas.

Playing in wet conditions, Indonesia put the oppositions on the back foot since the start of the match. The host led in the 7th minute through Gavin Adsit Kwan.

Indonesia doubled the lead in the 26th minute after Osvaldo Haay netted the ball following a scramble from Febri Hariyadi’s pass into the box.

Mongolia was awarded a penalty in the 37th minute for a foul by Saddil Ramdani. Munkh-Erden Tuguldur converted from the spot.

In the 45th minute, Ilija Spasojevic also scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-1 to Indonesia.

The match saw the third penalty kick that was taken once again by Tuguldur to change the score to 3-2.
