Asian Games 2018 Expected to Break More World Records

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - More than 10,000 athletes and 5,000 officials from 45 countries in Asia will participate in 462 events in 40 sporting events in the Asian Games 2018. The most glamorous Asian sporting event is expected to break numerous world records.
“With the continuing increase in standards around the continent, we are expecting more world records at the Asian Games. Once again the Asian Games will bring together the youth of Asia in a celebration of elite sport and friendship, and promote peace, tolerance and understanding,” said Husein Al Musallam, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia through its official website.

Husein is positive that the Asian Games 2018 will showcase newly elevated standards regarding facilities, infrastructure, and the use of games-related technology that will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, and the Jakabaring Sports City in Palembang.
Regarding Indonesia’s preparation for the Asian Games 2018, Husein said; ““The whole of Asia is preparing for the next Asian Games and we are confident it will be a big success. Although there are challenges ahead for Indonesia with less than one year to go, they can be overcome thanks to the cooperation and collaboration between the OCA and organizing committee INASGOC working together.” Said Husein Al Musallam through the OCA website.
