TEMPO.CO, Bandung - Presidential spokesman Johan Budi said that he has yet to get the latest information on a possible cabinet reshuffle. “I have not received any information or confirmation yet as to whether the President will reshuffle his cabinet or not,” he said in Bandung yesterday, adding that it was the President’s prerogative.

Johan Budi said that the President’s decision on a possible cabinet reshuffle would not be influenced by rumors.

“As we saw in the previous [cabinet] reshuffle, nothing influenced it. I myself don’t know whether a reshuffle is on the cards; only the President and Vice President know,” he said.

Nevertheless, the former KPK spokesman said that evaluation of ministerial performances will continue to be done by the President.

On cabinet reshuffle, Johan Budi said that President Jokowi will not solely rely on data and achievements of his ministers. “The President has other items to measure [performances], aside from informal data. The President often visits regions, including to measure, personally hear from the people on the progress of the programs of cabinet ministers,” he said.
