Rini is one of the ministers who are always in the cabinet reshuffle list. One of the reasons is she has not been close with Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri. Many said that the SOE minister was reluctant to have a close relationship with Megawati.
In addition, many views that Rini is underperforming, as her policies are not in line with President Jokowi’s visions. Her name is on cabinet reshuffle list this year after the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) found irregularities in the Pelindo II-Hutchison Port Holdings cooperation. The BPK found that the cooperation potentially caused Rp4.08 trillion in state losses.
