TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo alias Jokowi has created a video blog or vlog post showing him having lunch with King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud of Saudi Arabia yesterday. The video uploaded by Jokowi to his YouTube channel became a trending topic among netizens on Twitter.

Most netizens have reacted positively towards the vlog posted by Jokowi. “Just finished watching #JKWVLOG I don’t know why I get more and more proud of my president @jokowi, I hope Allah gives you healthy and long life, Sir,” a netizen said.

Another netizen said: “I have never been this proud of my president. #JKWVLOG.”

King Salman arrived in Indonesia yesterday. He was welcomed by President Jokowi at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport. King Salman headed directly toward the Bogor Presidential Palace and attended a launch reception.

Jokowi said that King Salman is paying a courtesy visit following his visit to Saudi Arabia in 2015. According to the President, the visit is historic because it is the first once since a Saudi King visited Indonesia 47 years ago.

In President Jokowi’s vlog, King Salman said he is pleased to be in Indonesia. For him, Indonesian people are his brothers and sisters, adding that he greatly respected them.

“I hope the visit would result in a mutual relationship between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia,” Jokowi said.
