TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-The National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) include twenty-five infrastructure projects worth Rp51.5 trillion or US$3.8 billion into their list of the agency’s ‘Green Book’, Koran Tempo reported Monday, October 12.

The Green Book is a list of this year's priority lending plans or foreign grants. The Green Book is currently being finalized and will likely be released soon.

Wismana Adi Suryabrata, deputy of development financing at the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), said that the projects have garnered attention of international creditors who have been Indonesia's partners.

"The projects included in the Green Book have met most of the required preparation criteria," Wismana said as Antara quoted last week.

The 25 projects were selected for the Green Book after completing several preparation stages such as the pre-feasibility study as well as the necessary paperwork and documents –including those on the environmental impact analysis.

Tuti Riyati, Bappenas director of planning and development funding, said the details of these 25 projects will be revealed this October.

Once the Green Book is completed, said Tuti, there will be a loan provision negotiation between the government—represented by the Finance Ministry—and creditors.

Since the beginning of the year, bilateral and multilateral partners that have shown interest to get involved are Japan, China, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the Islamic Development Bank.
