Indonesian Football Falls in World Ranking

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Indonesian football team goes down nine spots to the 164th place on FIFA’s world ranking, Antara news reported. The team is recording its lowest rank as it is unable to participate in international competitions after FIFA ban imposed on May 29.
Among ASEAN countries, Indonesia ranks lower than Singapore, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Philippines recorded the highest rank among ASEAN countries on 124th .
Indonesian football team was sanctioned by FIFA on May 29 until an undetermined time for government meddling. The sanction bans Indonesia from international competitions held under FIFA and AFC supervision.
