TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Mohammad Jamal Alsaati, the head of delegation for the IDB (Islamic Development Bank), offered US$ 5 Billion (Rp 66.6 billion) in support of the Indonesian Government for 2015.
"As one of the founding countries of the IDB, Indonesia is a good [place for] investment," Jamal said at the National Development Planning Board on Friday, June 26 2015.
Dewo Broto Joko Putranto, Foreign Funding Director of the National Development Agency, said that the IDB fund will be allocated for the government's need in accordance with the 2015-2019 Medium Term National Development Plan (RPJMN).
The two parties have agreed to determine five priority development sectors that will be covered by the fund, including the development of sharia finance and increased efforts in the eradication of poverty. The fund will also be used to increase exports and investment in IDB's 55 member countries, the development of public private partnership (PPP), and to develop better infrastructure.
