Money Should Serve People, Not the Other Way Around, Pope Said

TEMPO.CO, Vatican - Pope Francis is once again highlighting the world’s greed, saying to all ambassadors in Vatican that the world is now experiencing money cult. Therefore, he is urging world leaders to reform a global economic system and put an end to the money cult.
He said that money should serve people, not the other way around, ruling against people. He then added that people are then fighting against economic dictatorship. "We have created a new pagan," said Pope Francis.
The Pope called the story of the golden cow worshiping now has transformed into money cult and inhumane economic tyrant. He was referring to the biblical story of Moses chronicle when he received the ten commandments and left his followers worshipping the golden cow.
Pope Francis said that fiscal fraud and corruption are all around the world. Speaking of fiscal market, he then said that virtual tyrant has been erected, in which law and rules are set by the tyrant. "In many cases, people are valued from their ability to consume," he added.
The Pope shouted financial reformation "in an ethical line that will result in an economic reformation that is beneficial for all people". He urged once again that world leaders should really serve public interests as well as consider ethics and solidarity.
Vatican recently announced that the new bank they run will publish annual fiscal reports in the website. The institution also hired an external consultant to ensure the international standard procedure against money laundering.
