Indonesian Mixed Doubles Pair Claims Final Ticket in Macau Open

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian mixed double shuttlers pair Edi Subaktiar/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja advanced to the final of 2014 Macau Open Grand Prix Gold after defeating Huang Kaixiang/Huang Dongping 21-15,18-21,22-20 of China, Antara News reported.


According to Tournamentsoftware website on Saturday, seventh-seeded Edi/Gloria needed 59 minutes before taking down their fifth-seeded opponent. The match was tough as both parties continue racing to score points in every games, but the Indonesian pairs led the two out of three games.


Edi/Gloria will fight for the US$120,000 prize in the final against third-seeded from Singapore Danny Bawa Chrisnanta/Yu Yan Vanessa Neo who had previously roll past South Korean Kim Duck Young/Go Ah Ra 21-19,11-21,21-17. The Sunday final will be their third encounters with statistic record shows 1-1.
