TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Sofyan Djalil, said that he would evaluate the Master Plan for Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesian Economic Development (MP3EI).

"We will see specifically how many programs in the MP3EI that can be continued," he said on Monday, October 27, 2014, adding that not all programs will be stopped because he has not yet known all of the programs included in the MP3EI.

Sofyan said that he will maintain communication with the previous minister to discuss MP3EI programs. "Mr. Chairul Tanjung and I are good friends. He did many things during his five-month tenure. I will call him," he said.

Chairul Tanjung, the previous coordinating minister for economic affairs, hoped that the MP3EI will be resumed by the new government. "If it's not suitable, then it has to be adjusted, but must be sustainable," Chairul said before retiring.
