TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Indonesian Ambassador to South Korea, John A. Prasetio, said South Korean investors were complaining about the land locations for factory construction in Indonesia.
John said they wanted lands with direct access to ports to ease export-import process.
“Ideally, lands for export should have easy access to ports,” said John after a meeting with Industry Minister M.S. Hidayat at the Industry Ministry office on Monday.
Another problem related to South Korea’s investment in Indonesia is land acquisition problem.
“Everything is actually progressing because the politics is already stable, but this land problem is not easy. Acquiring disputed land is not easy for all,” he said.
John’s visit to the ministry aimed at providing the minister with investment updates.
“We mostly talked about personal things as friends. I only reported some updates on the investment to prepare the next steps,” he said.
