Yahoo Tightens Security to Prevent Spying

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Yahoo is currently working to encrypt all process of transfer of information between its data centres following the leaked National Security Agency (NSA) spying activity over the past year.
"Our fight to protect our users and their data is an on-going and critical effort," said Yahoo security chief Alex Stamos.
Yahoo announced through its Tumblr page that internet traffic in its data centers have been given full protection. Yahoo's search page, home page, and email have been encrypted since January 2014, as reported by Engadget on Thursday, April 3, 2014.
Users can also encrypt Yahoo News, Sports, Finance and other services by manually adding HTTPS before entering the site's URL.
