TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Deputy Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) revealed yesterday that they have received proposal from other investors related to monorail project.
"They have submitted their business plan for the monorail project to be reviewed by me and the governor," Ahok said.
However, Ahok refused to name the investors or the companies since they have not read the proposal. Ahok further said: "Their plan seems to be more promising and feasible. I need to review it further."
Ahok stated that the Jakarta Provincial Government might hand over the project that has been delayed for too long. Started in 2003, the construction of green line and blue line was halted in 2011 by the former governor Fauzi Bowo due to the absence of financial guarantee.
