Bing Maintains Cooperation with Twitter

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Microsoft announced that the company will strengthen its business relationship with micro-blogging service provider Twitter through the Bing search engine. Unlike Google, Bing began developing search engine specialized for social network such as Twitter. Several other social networks comaptible with Bing are Facebook, LinkedIn, Quora, Foursquare, dan Klout.



The cooperation was renewed just a couple of days before Twitter's initial public offering on November 7.



Twitter earned 15 percent of its total profit by providing licensed access to a third party wishing to retrieve data from its users. However, the company's main source of income remains in advertising.
