TEMPO.CO, Malang - The Trade Ministry has assured that the country has enough supply of main commodities for the upcoming fasting month of Ramadhan. Some distributors have even raised their supplies by 200 percent of their normal amount.

Supplies of main commodities such as sugar, cooking oil, milk, biscuits, flour, and processed food have been secured. In addition, the garment and fashion sector have increased their supply by 300 percent.

"Supply is added a week before Ramadhan," said Trade Deputy Minister Bayu Krisnamurthi in Malang in Wednesday, May 29.

Meanwhile, the supply of poultry products and eggs are also sufficient until Eid al-Fitr celebration. Bayu said the demands for main commodities will experience a sudden increase approaching the fasting month and a week before Eid al-Fitr celebration.
