TEMPO.CO, Bali - Indonesian President Joko Widodo or Jokowi is slated to inaugurate the 10th World Water Forum at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC) on Monday morning. The ceremony is scheduled to commence from 08:30 to 10:30 local time, featuring a collaborative art performance involving orchestral music, dance, and choir.

American billionaire Elon Musk and the President of the World Water Council, Loic Fauchon, are set to deliver speeches. There will also be a presentation of the King Hasan II Great World Water Prize video to visually demonstrate support for the protection and conservation of water resources, improved management, wastewater reuse, and public awareness. The video will be accompanied by a speech from the Moroccan Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka.

Subsequently, the President of the World Water Council will bestow awards to parties for their contribution to overcoming water challenges.

The opening ceremony will be attended by a number of delegates, including Deputy Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea John Rosso, Special Envoy of the Netherlands Meike van Ginneken, President of the UN General Assembly Dennis Francis, Special Envoy of France Barbara Pompili, and Special Envoy of the United Arab Emirates Suhail Mohamed Al Mazroui.

They will be joined by Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato Sri Haji Fadillah Bin Haji Yusof, Special Envoy and then President of Hungary 2012-2022 János Áder, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Qohir Rasulzoda, President of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe, President of Fiji Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere, and Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives and Representative of the President of the International Parliamentary Union (IPU) Puan Maharani.

The opening ceremony will be followed by interface meetings with those responsible for political, thematic, and regional processes, as well as bilateral meetings.

The Opening Fair and Expo at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), the BICC, Bali Collection Nusa Dua, and Kuta Beach will also enrich the 10th World Water Forum on May 20-25.
