TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Transportation Office announced that the odd-even traffic policy will be lifted tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, in anticipation of the general elections.

“Concerning the 2024 general elections, the odd-even traffic policy will be lifted on February 14, 2024,” the office wrote on an official Instagram post as quoted by Tempo today.

According to Presidential Decision No. 10 of 2024 on General Elections, election day is considered a national holiday. The decision to lift the odd-even traffic policy was also based on KPU Regulation No. 3 of 2022 on the election schedule.

Additionally, based on Article 3 (3) of Governor Regulation No. 88 of 2019, the odd-even traffic policy is lifted on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays.

The policy will resume on Thursday, February 15, 2024, and Friday, February 16, 2024. Meanwhile, the odd-even traffic policy will not be implemented on the weekend.
