BMKG Forecast Rainy Day for South Jakarta Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued a weather forecast for Jakarta saying that some parts of the capital are expected to have sunny weather today, May 21, while others will be cloudy. There is also a possibility of rain throughout the day in South Jakarta this afternoon, although the intensity will be light.

In the evening, cloudy skies will dominate the city. The maximum air temperature is predicted at 32 degrees Celsius, while the maximum humidity level will be 90 percent.

In addition, Jakarta's neighboring areas are likely to be soaked by rain this afternoon, including Serpong (South Tangerang City) and Tigaraksa (Tangerang Regency). The intensity is expected to be light.

Meanwhile, Depok, Cibinong (Bogor Regency), and Bogor City have the potential for moderate-intensity rain this afternoon and light rain in the evening. In Bekasi, drizzle is also forecast for tonight.

Today’s air temperatures in Jakarta’s surroundings can reach up to 34 degrees Celsius, particularly in Bekasi, Depok, and Tangerang City. Meanwhile, the BMKG noted that the air humidity levels may hit 95 percent in Bogor, Depok, Bekasi, South Tangerang, and Tangerang Regency.
