Whoosh Logs 20% Hike in Passengers During 2024 School Holiday

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia Cina or KCIC said Whoosh recorded a 20 percent hike in passengers since mid-June 2024, in line with school holidays. The statement was conveyed by KCIC’s GM Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa in a written statement on Tuesday. 

On a normal day, Whoosh usually garners around 15,000 of 16,000 passengers a day, Eva said. "It recently increased to 18,000 to 22,000 passengers a day," she said.

Eva said 400,000 tickets have been sold for departure dates from June 14 to July 7, 2024. Meanwhile, a total of 320,000 passengers had departed throughout June. 

Furthermore, she said, passengers can use Whoosh tickets to get exciting promos to various tourist destinations. Eva explained that KCIC collaborates with several partners to increase the value of Whoosh trips experienced by passengers.

Whoosh also provided many facilities and services for the passengers at the stations. "KCIC hopes this holiday moment with Whoosh will be a pleasant experience for parents and children," she said.
