TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) through the IKN Infrastructure Development Task Force updated that the developmental progress of ministerial landed houses in IKN is 42.62 percent complete.

"The progress of Landed Houses for Ministers has reached 42.62 percent," the task force head, Danis Sumadilaga told Antara on Sunday in Jakarta.

The ministry targets the development to finish in 2024, as part of the supporting infrastructures in preparation for the commemoration ceremony of Indonesia's Independence Day next year in the new capital city.

The houses are constructed simultaneously with the landscape arrangement. Pedestrians and greenery around the location are built to maintain the environment and ensure its residents' comfort.

The PUPR ministry also installs solar panels to maximize the utilization of electrical energy in each unit.

Around 24 units of landed houses in block 104 are built on 10.6 hectares of land, while block 105 contains 12 landed houses on 9.1 hectares of land. Each block is completed with facilities and infrastructure, utilities, furniture, as well as public and social facilities.

The landed houses are also designed to respond to the topography in the area, meaning there are upslope and downslope houses. The are 25 upslope units located on ridges, where the back of the house is elevated higher than the road's. Meanwhile, there are 11 downslope units located on hillsides.

Additionally, the ministerial landed houses are also designed to respond to climate and disasters. A smart design building with 100 percent access to the internet and Wi-Fi is also implemented, promising an integrated and smart area in the central government core area (KIPP).
