TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Acting Head of Jakarta Health Office Ani Ruspitawati responded to Jakarta's Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono to change the nomenclature of district and village puskesmas (public health center). Ani mentioned that there is a total of 44 district puskesmas and 292 supporting puskesmas at the village level after the change.
"For puskesmas, which are previously the district puskesmas, will still operate for 24 hours," Ani said in a written statement yesterday. The policy changed the nomenclature of district puskesmas into puskesmas and the village puskesmas into supporting puskesmas.
The policy was provided in the Governor Regulation No. 14 of 2023 on the organizing structure of puskesmas and Governor Decision No. 636 of 2023 on puskesmas. According to Ani, both regulations are issued as a follow-up to Minister of Health Regulation No. 43 of 2019 on puskesmas.
Ani ensured healthcare services provided for the public will not change in quality. She added that the operational hours of the supporting puskesmas are in line with the existing working hours regulation. However, supporting puskesmas in Seribu Islands will operate for 24 hours and provide inpatient care.
"The healthcare service provided by the supporting puskesmas is in line with the existing condition with no decline in quality," she said.
