GoTo Launches GoPay App, Cuts Transfer Fee 100 Times a Month

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tech giant PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) officially launched GoPay application on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. One of the services provided is a free transfer fee of up to 100 times per month.
“GoPay app users can make fast, easy transfers, and now without charge 100 times per month,” GoTo's President for Financial Technology Unit Hans Patuwo said in a press conference at the GoJek HQ, South Jakarta on Wednesday.
He said that the free cost of fund transfer is valid for transactions not only from GoPay to GoPay accounts but also to bank accounts.
Hans explained that the service is launched following the results of GoTo’s research that transferring money is the biggest user need. Therefore, GoTo created a transfer feature.
Asked whether the free transfer service would remain valid in the next months, Hans could not yet confirm it for sure. “I don't know, what’s important is we are doing this step by step,” he said.
