Tokopedia Gets New President as Tiktok Officially Becomes Controlling Shareholder

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (IDX: GOTO) announced the new CEO of Tokopedia following the completed transaction of TikTok's investment in the company. Tokopedia's current president director is Vonny Susamto, who has since 2021 acted as the Category Manager at ByteDance, TikTok's parent company.
Vonny replaces Melissa Siska Juminto, who now holds the position of director in Tokopedia.
Tokopedia's change of directors takes place after TikTok officially acquired 75.01 percent stake in the e-commerce company on January 31. The remaining 24.99 percent is owned by GOTO.
With the completion of this transaction, Tokopedia's and TikTok Shop Indonesia's businesses are now merged under PT Tokopedia, with TikTok officially becoming the controlling shareholder.
"Today we have completed a cooperation transaction with TikTok, which will continue to provide benefits to Indonesia and MSME actors. This is also a big step for the GoTo Group," GoTo Group president director Patrick Walujo said in an official statement, on Wednesday, January 31.
As per the information disclosure on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the following is the composition of Tokopedia's new board of commissioners and directors as of January 31, 2024:
