TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is scheduled to have business talks with the CEO of Australian companies in Sydney today, July 4, before meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on his three-day trip to Sidney.
“The President will then head to Admiralty House which is the official residence of Australian Governor-General David Hurley. The President will attend a series of welcoming ceremonies,” as stated in the press release issued by the Presidential Secretariat Press, Media, and Information Bureau, on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.
The meeting of the two will be brief and end with a state lunch.
After meeting Hurley, Jokowi is scheduled to attend the Annual Leaders Meeting (ALM) with Australian PM Anthony Albanese at Taronga Center. The two leaders will then travel to the Sumatran Village at Taronga Zoo to see the Sumatran tiger. The second-day agenda will be closed with a dinner.
Jokowi revealed that a number of priority agendas to be discussed in Australia are mainly about investment and trade. According to him, there has been a significant surge in trade and investment from Australia. The two leaders will also discuss health, energy transition, and human resource development.
