TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Three Indonesian cities, namely Denpasar, Gorontalo, and Pontianak are predicted to experience the highest temperature on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 34 degrees Celcius. Meanwhile, in today's weather forecast, the lowest temperature of 18 degrees is predicted to be felt in Bandung, as reported by the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency or BMKG.
The agency also forecasted rain will shower several cities with various intensities; rains with lightning to fall on Mataram and Manado, while heavy rains to shower Bengkulu city.
Rain with moderate intensity is predicted to occur in Yogyakarta, Bandung, Bandar Lampung, and Mamuju. Some other cities, such as Semarang, Surabaya, Pontianak, Banjarmasin, Palangka Raya, Makassar, Kendari, Padang, Palembang, and Medan will see rains with light intensity.
BMKG issued an early warning of today's hydrometeorological disaster in the Provinces of Central Java and East Java, despite the rain is expected to fall only on the big cities. The prediction was based on the effects of heavy rain.
In addition, BMKG said there is the potential for an increase in waves as high as 2.5 - 4.0 meters in the western waters of Enggano Island, the western Indian Ocean of Bengkulu - Lampung, the southern part of the Sunda Strait, the southern waters of Java Island and the southern Indian Ocean of Java - NTB (West Nusa Tenggara).
