Director of Special Crime Investigation of the Metro Jaya Regional Police Great Commissioner Aulisansyah Lubis said that the discovery was made in relation to numerous goods being smuggled through unofficial ports.

"The goods enter from illegal ports, but not limiting the possibilities of [using] large ports," Auliansyah said on Friday, March 24, 2023.

The Metro Jaya Regional Police has confiscated 535 bulk of used clothing, 577 illegal phones, and 27 illegal tablets. The goods were collected from operations started on February 2023, until March 22, 2023.

The goods were imported from China or Japan, Korea, and the United States. The goods were ordered through an international e-commerce platform.
