TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) released a weather forecast for today, February 20, 2023, which predicted West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta will be hit by rain accompanied by lightning in the afternoon.
Uploaded via its official page www.bmkg.go.id, the agency noted that four areas of the capital would be cloudy.
In the afternoon, Central Jakarta will see drizzles, while North Jakarta and Thousand Islands will see cloudy weather. In the evening, the skies in all city areas will be cloudy.
In the early hours of the morning, the Thousand Islands was forecasted to be hit by rain accompanied by lightning, while North Jakarta will see light-intensity rain. The weather in South Jakarta and West Jakarta will be partly sunny, while Central Jakarta and East Jakarta will be clouded.
The air temperature across the city was estimated to be between 23 and 30 degrees Celsius and the air humidity may range from 80 to 90 percent.
The BMKG encouraged residents to be aware of the potential for rain which can be accompanied by lightning in parts of East Jakarta, West Jakarta, and South Jakarta in today’s afternoon and the Thousand Islands in the early morning.
