Over 1,000 Creative Economy Players Take Part in ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023 in Yogyakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said that more than 1,000 creative economy players joined the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2023 in Yogyakarta.

The ATF 2023 has been officially opened by Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin at the Prambanan Temple area, Yogyakarta on Friday evening, February 3.

“More than 1,000 creative economy players were involved in the ATF opening ceremony last night. Alhamdulillah, what a perfect night. Joy to Yogyakarta economic actors,” wrote Sandiaga on his official Instagram account on Saturday, Feb. 4.

He went on to say that this is a good beginning to further develop tourism in ASEAN regions. Sandiaga is optimistic that the event is a blessing for the economy and will open jobs for the locals.

“We also invite the delegations to enjoy the charm of the City of Yogyakarta. I'm pretty sure they will fall in love and revisit this romantic city,” said Sandiaga Uno. He also encouraged the locals to enliven and succeeding the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2023.

Over 1,000 delegations from 29 countries took part in the ATF 2023. This event is centered in Yogyakarta on February 2-5 2023.
