TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bali's Tourism Office recorded 11,000 foreign travelers' visits daily, a figure they hope to stay at until the end of 2022. The official said that after the G20 Summit was over, the island is still receiving a lot of visits from overseas tourists.

"We are optimistic to welcome 11,000 to 12,000 foreign tourists per day. After the G20 Summit, the airport is still quite packed with foreign tourists arriving," Bali Tourism Office head Tjok Bagus Pemayun said in Denpasar, Tuesday, December 6.

Pemayun said that the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport sees on average over 10,000 foreign arrivals per day. They hope the number will climb as the government has rolled out various promotions and approaches.

One of the approaches was establishing communication with the Consulate General of China. "We hope that tourists from China can come to Bali soon," Pemayun said.

Bali's Statistics Agency recorded that 305,244 foreign tourists entered the island throughout the month of October, an increase from September's 291,162 arrivals. Pemayun said that most of the tourists are from Australia, accounting for 28.18 percent.

Foreign tourists in Bali tend to visit popular destinations such as the Garuda Wisnu Kencana monument, Penglipuran Tourism Village, Tampak Siring, Gajah Cave, Taman Ayun Shrine, Dasa Temple, Lovina Beach, and so others. Meanwhile, domestic tourists prefer areas like Bedugul or Kintamani.
