TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued a weather forecast for Jakarta today, November 29, 2022. In its release, the agency predicted that rain will wet all city areas tonight.

Light to moderate-intensity rain would fall in five urban areas and the Thousand Islands at night, while in the late afternoon, there is the potential for heavy rain or thunderstorms and strong winds within a short duration in the West and South Jakarta areas.

For this reason, residents are advised to be aware of possible changes in the weather.

Thunderstorms in West Jakarta and South Jakarta

“Be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning within a short time in parts of West Jakarta and South Jakarta in the late afternoon,” the agency issued the early warning as quoted from jakarta.go.id.

During the day, the capital will have cloudy weather which will become partly sunny in the early hours of Wednesday, November 30.

The BMKG also stated that the city’s air temperature today will range from 22 to 32 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of around 60 to 95 percent.
